Our Story

At First Place Nurseries, our journey began in 2005 when our founder and Managing Director, Jan Harris, had a vision of creating a nurturing environment for children's early years. Alongside Jan, Angela Pargetor and Donna Shadbolt, Senior Managers, embarked on a shared mission to ensure that the children in our three nurseries are safe, happy, and well-prepared for their transition to school.

As we approach our 20th birthday, we're proud to say that our founding members are still at the heart of our nurseries, steering our teams with their passion and dedication. We prioritise the individual needs of each child while also emphasising the importance of preparing for future education. We understand the significance of laying the first foundations and have strong relationships with our local independent, state, and faith schools, ensuring a seamless transition for your child to ‘big school’. For nearly two decades, we've had the privilege of watching countless children learn and grow, staying connected with some families as they progress through life's milestones.
