Beaconsfield Nursery

First Place Nursery in Beaconsfield warmly welcomes children as young as 6 months old, giving them a fantastic start in life. We're thrilled to have access to the beautiful open space and woodlands of Wilton Park, which we explore regularly. We have a garden with areas for growing vegetables and feeders for birds and squirrels. The children enjoy the outdoors every day, all year round, discovering the wonders of nature. Our dedicated and experienced team is passionate about nurturing and engaging each child, making every day an exciting adventure in learning and growth.

At Beaconsfield, we have adopted some of the Curiosity Approach's ethos. We believe that too many colourful plastic toys are not the way to do it. We encourage children to explore, using their curiosity, making connections, using open-ended real-life resources, and we've created beautiful play spaces to encourage curiosity and create the 'thinkers and doers' of the future. We pride ourselves on the good, longstanding relationships that we have with local independent, state and faith schools. When the time comes, we are on hand and happy to talk through the process and support you in choosing the right school for your child.

What our children love about Beaconsfield Nursery…

  • Our Garden

The garden areas capture the children's interest with mature trees, tactile leaves and edible plants. Growing and caring for the vegetables in their allotment is not only physical, but also encourages the art of patience from an early age as they wait for their plants to grow! Watering and tending their plants also give them a sense of purpose and excitement.

  • Forest School

In the woodland areas around the nursery, the children are excited to join in the Forest School inspired activities and experiences, such as den building and bug hunting. The Forest School sessions build their confidence and offer many learning opportunities as they explore and discover the natural world around them.

  • Dressing Up

Whether they want to be a princess, a dragon, or a doctor, the children love putting on a costume and letting their imaginations run wild. The benefits of dressing up are numerous, but for the children, it's also so much fun and one of their favourite things to do!
