Bushey Pre-School
Jupiter, is our buzzing pre-school room at Bushey Nursery where activities and experiences ensure that the children further develop their confidence, independence, communication and resilience ready for school.
Throughout the structured day children enjoy opportunities to work independently or in small and large groups. With staff encouragement and support they develop their language, communication, literacy and numeracy skills, developing and growing at their own pace.

Activities
The children particularly enjoy messy play and arts and crafts activities which enable them to explore their creativity, develop and practising their fine motor skills and hand/eye co-ordination.
The outdoor space allows Jupiter children to enjoy plenty of daily fresh, play outdoor games and discover more about the world around them.

Extras
During their time in Pluto the children are gifted with a bag containing a water bottle and a book about starting school. The graduating children also enjoy an invaluable Mini First Aid course and the end of their time at nursery is rounded off with an unforgettable graduation celebrations.

Feeder Schools
Nursery staff work in partnership and visit local independent, faith and state feeder schools and maintain regular contact with them to ensure a smooth transition for the children into their new school environment. Staff at First Place support families who are looking for 4+ assessment entry to independent schools. Mock assessments are carried out with the children and feedback shared with parents so that they can work in partnership on any areas to support.
